1st Act

My life wasn’t always this “exciting”, wait I lied… it was always like this, even when I was a child I believed in coincidences and I thought nothing just happens, it must have a reason for being like this, twisted, pulled and pushed by an unknown force which was just messing with me. And especially since I came to Korea almost three years ago. My life here wasn’t not even close to what I was expected! Someone or something was messing with me in a big style without even letting me breath. Since the first day of me arriving here, when I lost my way to the guesthouse, to the next week when I moved in a weird gositel, full of bugs, to the next year when I lost my time and spot for the scholarship because of being too late and so on. Now I am in my fifth house, which makes all my life funnier than it already is and finally at 26 years old I started my second university. Well if life isn’t funny then what else can be?
And now here I am standing in a big line close to my friend who went through all the stuff together with me all the time, my companion and suffering soul, to wait for some tickets. One week ago, the lady from the university office called us and begged us to go to some festival of I don’t really know what, to represent the university as “ambassadors” and stay in the front line so the cameras could surprise us fully. Since one month ago, when we accepted to make this interview for our scholarship and university brochure they keep calling us for various events just to represent the school. Well, none of this makes sense, because we are not that well known or that smart either, not to mention extraordinary pretty, so why should we go to every possible event for them? But yet, here we are, standing in this big line to pick up some tickets.
-          - You know, I don’t think we are in the right line! My friend told me with a very annoyed face.
-        -   I thought about this too, because every girl here is either from some fandom, either from the press and I don’t see the stand where we were supposed to go in front of us, I replied and then I just turned around to the girls who was from the volunteering staff.
-         - Excuse me, can you tell me when will I find the stand called IFSN? We are supposed to pick up our tickets, but we cannot find it anywhere, I just pointed at my email and she read it silently.
-        -  Wait just a moment please, I will ask the manager in charge for this. Can you wait here? We nodded and looked after her. In two minutes she came back with a short and fatty guy.
-       -   Oh, the stand you are looking for, didn’t open just yet, but I can ask the officer to let you inside to go to their office if you want. Is this okay for you? Not to wait here in the sun, he said and we smiled brightly, finally we won’t stay in this horrible warmish and humid weather anymore.
We followed him and he talked with a guard explaining him where we should go and he nodded and after just pulled up the chain and let us in.
-       -   Go to the basement floor, it should be first door on the right. They should have the logo on the door. If you, somehow get lost ask someone, they will know. Oh, and take this with you, is for the special press, usually people cannot go there unless they are guests or something so with these things no one will ask you anything, have a nice day at the festival, he waved at us and smiled.
-        -  Thank you very much, we said in Koreans bowed politely and get inside. So we are in the red area? I said and laughed.
-        -  Probably you will see some nude k-pop members, my friend added and we just laughed harder.
     - Don't joke with this, you never know... I replied.
We took the elevator to the basement and tried to figure which hallway the first door on the right. Next to the elevator there were three hallways, one right, one left and one in front. And guess what, no door on the right everyone was on the fucking left!
-       -   Okaaay, big help mister, and now what? I asked and my friend looked at me puzzled.
-        -  Let’s just try one of the corridors and see maybe we can find it quickly, but she didn’t even finished saying that and a bunch of people just got out of the elevator rushing to do some things.
-         - I don’t understand a thing, I swear to God this will take a lot longer than I was expecting, in concluded and start walking to the left.
We tried five doors and we were at the end of the corridor when I said I was angry and tired. None of the door were open, every single one were locked and no one was there. I felt like this was a nightmare and a horror movie. I was expecting anything to get out of there and chase us.
-         - Should we try the middle corridor? I asked and my friend just nodded at me.
-         - Omg, I need a bathroom quickly and I feel like I want to die in the next second. Walking like this just for two tickets, what is wrong with these people, she started to complain.
-         - I totally agree, but if we see a bathroom we will get in first. My bladder cannot take it anymore either.
We were about to scream when finally a door opened and we could ask someone at least if they have seen this organization, logo, company’s name somewhere on the door. We opened the door and started to ask if someone was there when I saw a young lady standing on a chair. She looked at us confused but stand up and said:
-         - Hm, may I help you? She knows English, that’s good.
-         - In fact yes, please, I said and started to tell her why are we down here. She smiled and said, the right hallway first door on the left, she said that maybe the guy was a little confused and he said first door on the right, without realizing, so we smiled, thanked her and went straight to that door.
Without any particular reason not to do that, we knocked and entered but the room was empty of any people, or at least that’s what we thought. We went inside and started to ask if someone was there but no noise came out. I saw another door and I thought maybe there was the main office and this just a hallway, since clothes and other stuff like make up and hangers were there too. I knocked while my friend was looking around and tried to tell me something.
-         - Tony, I don’t think this is the right room. She said.
-         - It cannot be possible, the girl was sure this is the right one, I said and opened the second door, which leaded me to my biggest mistake ever in my entirely life.
I wasn’t able to close it back while this person was just looking at me with a towel around his waist and a stupefied face. I became red, tomato red and my hand just lost the latch and the door just opened more.
-         - Well Andrea, I think you are freaking right, this is not the right room.
While I turned around to run away from my disaster and my death sentence the main door opened and another guy came in.
-        -  Hey, it didn’t had the same cologne we used normally so our manager bought another one, he looked up to see my friend who turned back to face me and made a sign like, we are going to die!
-         - Hm, wait a second what are you doing here? He asked us and I just smiled.
-         - It is a misunderstanding, I said in Korean clearly enough for him to hear, but not clearly enough to make myself understood.
-         - Crazy fans, call the manager and security! Now! The guy from the bathroom just got out with an angry face and tone and yelled at the one that just entered.
-         - Security?! Wait! Is not… we are not fans! I yelled but unfortunately no one heard me so I looked at my friend and said, at three run! I won’t die here by them. Fuck this festival!
Luckily for us because our mother language is Romanian no one could understand what I said so when we started to run they just stayed there like idiots looking, but in a short time they started to run after us too. But I think that day wasn’t in my favor because before arriving at the elevator someone just came on the corridor and I bumped into that person. Then black!
